(Objective C-97 is done with the Chemistry Text website and the added two links. Your written assignment will be graded on how well you follow the directions in the order listed. That includes the times spent on the links. Keep this page in the background as you need to go back and forth from it to the Chemistry Text website.)
1) Visit the Chemistry Text Website and choose Chapters 24 (The Chemistry of Life), and 25 (Nuclear Chemistry) one at a time. During the first round through the 2 Chapters, choose the the scilinks that are listed for each Chapter below. From the scilink, choose the website that is listed next to it. List and underline the "Chapter #, scilink and website name" on loose-leaf paper and after spending around 6 minutes on the website, write 3 lines of notes on what you learned. Skip a line and list the next scilink and website. There are a number of websites listed for the scilinks, you need to choose the one that is listed below. If the graphics on the website don't work, choose another website from the scilink.

2) Continue with the Chemistry Text Website for the second round. Again, choose Chapters 24 and 25 one at a time. Choose the Self-Assessment for each chapter. Take the test quickly and check your grade. List and underline "Chapter # Self Assessment" and then list 3 lines of the topics of some of the questions. Skip a line and repeat this after taking each of the Chapter tests.
3) If you are finished with the first 2 steps, then continue with the Chemistry Text Website for the third round. Choose Chapter 24 and 25. Go through the above scilinks and search for at least one more website that is not listed and list the name of the website and write 3 lines about each one.
4) If you have time left (or later) explore the Hovensa Website.
5) If you still have time left, be sure to visit the SJHS Website, the Catholic Islander Website, and other websites at the SJHS Portal.
6) Be sure to take your textbook home with you and read study and know Chapters 22, 23, 24, and 25.

Choose "Careers in Chemistry" for Chapter 22 and then choose "Chemistry Occupations". List and Underline "Chapter # Careers in Chemistry" and then list 3 lines of notes on one or more career.
4) If you have time left (or later) explore the Hovensa Website.
5) If you still have time left, be sure to visit the SJHS Website, the Catholic Islander Website, and other websites at the SJHS Portal.
6) Be sure to take your textbook home with you and spend 30 minutes or more reading, studying, and knowing Chapters 22, 23, 24, and 25.

3) When finished the above, go to the Chemistry Text website. Take the Chapter tests and explore the websites listed there and the websites on scilinks. These are listed at scilinks under the teacher's saved links. Write from 1 to 2 sides of notes on this.
4) If you have any time left, research the same or related topics from the following websites and write about them also.

1) Do Objective C-09. On loose-leaf paper list what web sites you visit and what you learned by searching for interesting topics from Chapters 1, 2. 3. Spend all of the time doing this. The number of sides of notes that you write will be announced during class. It is more important to spend all of your time exploring the websites. List the titles of the websites visited. First go to the scilinks website and follow the instructions as given in class. Change your password. When you choose your favorite websites and saved links, go to the teacher's favorite websites and saved links and go to the following teacher favorite websites first:
A) "Visual Elements of the Periodic Table" - Look up the number of the element that corresponds to the last 2 digits of your Chemistry Class number. Take notes on that element.
B) "Why Does Ice Float?"
C) "Visual Learning: Temperature" - Describe the 3 temperature scales.
D) "Short History of Metals" - List the discovery dates for the first 7 metals.
E) "Scientific Method"

2) When finished the above, go to the Chemistry Text website. Take the Chapter tests and explore the websites listed there and the websites on scilinks. These are listed at scilinks under the teacher's saved links. Do the ones from Chapter 3 first.

1) Register for Biology Class at www.gradeconnect.com Follow the instructions on the handout.
2) Register for Scilinks. Follow the instructions on the handout. Go to www.scilinks.org If you can't register, you can also you scilinks by signing on as a guest and through the textbook website.
3) Do Objective C-05. On loose-leaf paper list what web sites you visit and what you learned by searching for interesting topics from Chapters 1, 2. Spend all of the time doing this. The number of sides of notes that you write will be announced during class. Proportion your time and pick out several websites. List the titles of the websites visited. First go to the
Chemistry Text website Take the Chapter tests and explore the websites. You can also search on the text website for these codes from your textbook:

4) If you have any time left, research the same or related topics from the following websites and write about them also.
