Chemistry Schedule and Makeup Work for Costa Rica Field Trip Students

Copy of handout given to each of the students on 3/18/10

1) The Unit 4 Test is scheduled for 3/29/10. Be ready to make it up on the first scheduled school day when you return.

2) For Unit 4 read, study, and know Chapters 11 to 16.1. For all of the Chapters know the vocabulary and answers to the section assessments. For Chapter 11, also know the class notes and problems covered. For Chapter 12, know the class notes and vocabulary. For Chapter 13, know the class notes, section assessments, and vocabulary. For Chapter 14, know it all, especially the vocabulary and section assessments. Know how to work with the algebraic formulas for the Gas Laws. For Chapter 15 and 16.1 know the vocabulary and section assessments.

3) You need to make your own outlines and spend the extra time studying those Chapters which you will be missing next week. (Chapters 14 to 16.1)

4) You need to hand-in the written work for the following Objectives on the first scheduled school day when you return. If late, you will be subject to the late penalty. You should be here on 3/19/10 and you will be given the assignment for class at that time. The first assignment to make up is the homework to be given on 3/19/10 and the list below begins with that objective.

C58 - Chapter 15 and 16.1 Vocabulary (Pages 464 and 471) (23 total)

C59 - Section Assessments: 14.1 # 1 to 6 on Page 417 and 14.2 # 15 to 19 on Page 425.

C60- Section Assessments: 14.3 # 25, 26, 27 on Page 429 and 14.4 # 33 to 38 on Page 436

C61 - Section Assessments 15.1 # 1 to 4 on Page 449 and 15.2 # 8 to 11 on Page 457

C62 - Section Assessments 15.3 # 16 to 21 on Page 462 and 16.1 # 3 to 6 on Page 477

5) Unit 5 Starts on March 30 on Chapters 17 to 21 and ends on April 29. You should read, study,and know Chapter 17 and make up the following objectives:

C63 - Chapter 17 Vocabulary, Page 534 (23 total)

C64 -Section Assessments 17.1 # 5 to 8 on Page 510 and 17.2 # 16,17 on Page 517
