Students in Br. James' 2011-12 Physics Class

The Ninth Grade VI and Caribbean History Class gave a VI Cultural Day Presentation on March 22, 2012 in the St. Joseph Church Hospitality Lounge. It featured various skits and dancing by the ninth grade dancers of the St. Joseph High School Dancing Class. Afterwards samples of various Caribbean foods were served to the students of the school.

Tropical Storm Irene hit St. Croix on August 21, 2011. Below is a graph of the barometric pressure from St. Joseph High School showing the quiet period which was equivalent to the "eye" of the future hurricane. Given the data, the students in the Physical Science Class made their own graphs when school resumed on August 23. Click on the image below for a larger version.
The Cross on top of the pole at the center of the SJHS campus was repainted on August 6, 2011. Click on either image below to see a short video of the event.

Because the center was far away, Hurricane Earl did little damage at St. Joseph Catholic High School at its peak approach during the afternoon of August 30, 2010. However, there were higher winds and rainfall that can be seen in the 2 minutes and 35 seconds flash video which is available from the link below.
